La Policía de Tierra del Fuego confirmó que el incendio que destruyó el supermercado «La Victoria», ubicado en la intersección de Kuanip y Primer Argentino en Ushuaia, fue intencional. El hecho ocurrió durante la madrugada del lunes y dejó graves daños en el edificio. Tras la intervención de las fuerzas policiales y bomberos, se detuvo a un hombre como principal sospechoso.
El siniestro comenzó en la puerta del depósito del supermercado y se propagó rápidamente hacia el interior. Varias dotaciones de bomberos trabajaron para sofocar las llamas, que alcanzaron el techo y otras partes críticas de la estructura. A pesar de los esfuerzos, las instalaciones quedaron severamente afectadas.
Un testigo presencial del hecho declaró que vio a un hombre prender fuego a una bolsa de basura en el acceso al supermercado antes de huir. Esta declaración fue clave para iniciar la búsqueda del sospechoso.
En Kuanip al 540, personal policial identificó y detuvo a Omar Daniel Roldán, de 53 años, quien coincidía con la descripción aportada por el testigo. Según la Policía, la rápida intervención permitió aprehender al presunto responsable poco después de iniciado el fuego.
El caso quedó a disposición del Juzgado de Turno, que determinará las causas y responsabilidades del hecho. Se espera que las investigaciones incluyan el análisis de imágenes de cámaras de seguridad y peritajes en el lugar del incendio.
El supermercado «La Victoria» es un establecimiento reconocido en Ushuaia, y en el momento del incidente se encontraba cerrado.
Curiosamente, en ese mismo lugar el lunes se habían realizado filmaciones para la película de Netflix «Risas», protagonizada por Diego Peretti, Joaquín Furriel y Cazzu. Aunque se desconoce si hay alguna relación entre ambos eventos, el incendio tuvo lugar horas después de culminada la actividad cinematográfica.
Las autoridades aún no brindaron mayores detalles sobre las motivaciones del sospechoso, pero no descartan posibles conexiones o antecedentes. Mientras tanto, el comercio afectado enfrenta pérdidas significativas y un futuro incierto debido al daño estructural provocado por las llamas.
